I guess I've sort of lived under a rock this month so when I returned to civilization and discovered fish pedicures for a second there i thought i was in some sort of over medicated state. Apparently, you place your feet in a pool of water and the toothless fish called garra rufa aka doctor fish swarm around your feet and nibble off the dead skin. nasty. “the fish don’t do the job alone. after 15 to 30 minutes in the tank, customers get a standard pedicure, made easier by the soft skin the doctor fish leave behind.” the cost is $35 for 15 minutes and $50 for 30 minutes. “the spa has more than 1,000 fish, with about 100 in each individual pedicure tank at any given time."
Nothing against the fish, but I don't think I'll be receiving this treatment anytime soon.
Now is it just me but with some of the nappy feet out there couldn't this be considered animal cruelty?
