Simply Smoothie

After an extreme Pilates class last night the furthest thing from my mind was dinner. Being that at 8pm it's still around 85 degrees who can think of cooking a hot meal? Not I, not last night. So instead I opted for a fresh fruit smoothie, homemade. It defiantly hit the spot.

1. Fresh fruit from the market down the street
{Strawberries, Raspberries, blueberries & blackberries}

2. Mix in blender or smoothie mixer until pureed.
I like mine with apple juice & coconut flavoring mixed it.

3. I normally top it off with cool whip, but I was out . So I decided some cherries on top would do just fine!
Here are some of my favorite smoothie recipes for summer time.
The one I made tonight was "Tropical Strawberry".

"Banana Date Supreme Smoothie"

Ingredients:
One (1) cup Coconut Milk (or Almond or Rice milk)
One (1) cup Dates (pitted), organic preferably
One (1) Banana (sliced), organic preferably and not-so-ripe (due to sweetness)
One-half (1/2) cup crushed ice (optional)

Directions:
Pour coconut (or other) milk into blender. Next, add dates and banana slices to blender. Lastly, add ice to blender (optional). Puree until smooth. Makes 1-2 servings.

"Pineapple-Mango Delight"

Ingredients:
One (1) cup fresh pineapple chunks
One (1) cup mango chunks
One (1) cup orange juice
One-half (1/2) cup crushed ice

Directions:
Pour orange juice into blender. Next add pineapple and mango chunks to blender. Lastly, add ice to blender. Puree until smooth.

"Tropical Strawberry"

{shown above}
