Destination Fashion Show, Bal Harbour

Saturday night I attended the Destination Fashion Show with a number of celebrities and notables from the worlds of entertainment, sports, media and fashion. Everyone flocked to Bal Harbour Shops, in Miami Beach which host this high-profile affair to benefit The Buoniconti Fund, the fundraising arm of The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis.

Academy Award winner Tommy Lee Jones and wife, Dawn served as Destination Fashion 2009's Honorary Chairs. Michael Kors showcased his Spring Collection in a fashion show presented by Saks Fifth Avenue in the Destination Fashion Arena for Runway. I tried to stop him on the red carpet for some quick questions but he was headed back stage to see the models before they hit the run way. I was able to get a good picture of him & a quick Hello. The show was just as outstanding as I planned it to be. Donald & Lisa Pliner attended; Lisa was stunning in a Stephen Spence dress. She is such a doll, always smiling. Anna Kournikova lit up the red carpet in an Osef skirt. Gloria & Emilio Estefan also walked the red carpet, even stopping to when I asked Gloria who she was wearing for the evening. She proudly responded, “Gusto designed this for me”. Designer Nanette Lepore also happen to make her way down the red carpet, she was breathe taking of course her own design.

Dinner was hosted by Neiman Marcus and afterwards we watched a spectacular live performance by Seal. All supporters traveled through Bal Harbour Shops as we dazzled among the "Decades" changes to end up in the present decade with Special Concert Performance by The Pointer Sisters.

The evening was wonderful I was thrilled to meet so many brilliant people and to be apart of this amazing cause. Raising over $3.8 million dollars Saturday evening I’d say it was a successful event.
